Five Reasons to Make a Massage As a Part of Your Fitness Program

Everybody knows that stress has such a negative impact on our health, physical and mental, whereas massage is one of the best ways to reduce stress level. Don’t forget to spoil your body with a nice deep massage and check out five reasons why you need to do this after trainings by body massage NYC

#1 More energy
You won’t believe, but a post workout massage can actually give you more energy. Massages realize mitochondria, which improves endurance performance by increasing the rate that muscles utilize oxygen. So you can use massage to send more oxygen to the muscles; this way, you increase the energy and endurance. This is a very cool reason for a post workout massage which will make you feel like hitting the gym again in no time.

#2 Massage improves mood and relieves pain
Working out hard can take a toll on your body. If you push yourself hard regularly, you’re going to be sore – and may have pain. Post workout massage relieves the pain and reduce the inflammation. You’ll feel much better after gym if you walk out having just a full hour massage.

#3 Increase your flexibility
Inflexibility is one of the main causes of different types of diseases, pain in muscles and joints. Get a deep massage at least once every month to increase your flexibility. Find a little time at your personal schedule to work with your therapist on areas that need extra attention like hips, neck or hamstring.

#4 Help your muscles work better
Different activities not only put a strain on your muscles, ligaments and tendons, but they also mess with those connective fibers under the skin known as your fascia — which help the muscles work smoothly and efficiently when they’re in good shape.
The fascia can get really gunked up with repeated exercises, and that makes it harder for muscles to slide past each other easily. Massage helps by loosening up those fibers so the muscles are doing what they’re supposed to with much less effort.

#5 Be healthy mentally
Everyday trainings can be very harmful not only for your muscles or joints. Inflammation, sadness and bad mood can be a reason of a depression. Just one hour of deep massage can give you a nice balance with the happy endorphins from working out. You will have no weariness or bad mood after.
And remember that massage will be a great reward after a hard workout in the gym.

4 Tips on How to Feel Better After Being Sick

#1. Drink a glass of water or four
If you want to start feeling better and more energetic, the most important thing is to keep your body properly hydrated. Drink a couple of glasses of water once every several hours. Either way, remember to consume at least 8 cups on a daily basis. It will help you to kick in all of your systems and to make them function the way they should.

#2. Eat something healthy
Eating something healthy and nutrient- and vitamin-rich will improve you physical and emotional state. It will also boost your energy levels and help your body to restore the lost health. Add more fruit and vegetables to your everyday diet to keep your mind sharp, your body strong, and your mind healthy!

#3. Go for a walk or hang out with someone
Don’t stay inside your house all the time! We understand the lack of motivation, weakness, and apathy can be direct, lasting results of your sickness. The key is not to turn into a couch potato. Try incorporating some activity back into your life. Take small steps first – go in your yard or the park nearby or you have any. Spend a little time in the fresh air and head home when you start feeling tired. Once you’ve done that for a couple of days, try hanging out with a couple of your friends outside your home.

#4. Take care of your looks
Taking care of your appearance can also help you to start feeling better. Apart from it, there is a chance your illness resulted in you looking like hell. Make sure to shave your face for the first time in a week or so and visit a New York barbershop to get your hair cut and styled.

Follow these tips if you want to feel better after being sick!

4 popular misconceptions about fitness

The spring is near, and some women start thinking about improving their looks in the wake of the slightly warmer seasons. While visits to a fashion hair salon or spa center and wardrobe change are significant parts of this journey, so is getting fit. Girls and adult women of all ages decide to start doing yoga and working out with personal trainers. However, many of them still have no idea how to go about it correctly. Here are four common fitness misconceptions you should be aware of!

  1. Muscle Pain Signifies The Success Of The Training

While some uncomfortable sensations are a definite sign of the expansion f the muscle tissue, the acute or significant amount of pain usually means the tear or the microdamage. Avoid overexerting yourself in the beginning and always consult your personal trainer if you feel painful sensations after your sessions.

  1. Stretching Helps To Reduce Muscle Pain

While it might be partially true, this trick only works if you stretch before engaging in the physical activity. Once the damage has been done, no amount of stretching can help you to get rid of the pain. It can help you to relax muscles, but it will not cure the trauma.

  1. The Longer The Training Session, The Better The Results

Unfortunately, no. The quality of the session overrides the duration. You can run on the treadmill for an hour straight with fewer results than doing weight exercises for 30 minutes. Once again, remember to consult your personal trainer, since he or she will be able to make up a training program just for you depending on your goals and needs.

  1. Frequent Workouts Are A Necessity

Sometimes less is more, and this is precisely the case. While training once or twice a week will not give you the body you are hoping for, three or four times a week with a day of rest in between the sessions should do the job. The reason behind this is rather simple — your muscles need time to heal.

These were some of the most common fitness myths you should quit believing before starting your training!

Is a home gym worth it?

Is a home gym worth it?

Are you tired of patiently waiting for your turn at your local gym? Rushing your set, in order to let someone else get it in? Having to drive a distance to the nearest gym? Paying a monthly fee? Filling up your car more often due to the driving to and back from the gym? Having to clean up someone else’s sweat? People judging your form, criticizing or fantasizing? Maybe just tired of having to miss the gym due to a long busy day? If you answered yes to one of these questions, you might be interested in investing on a home gym.

Many fitness enthusiasts like you have thought about this many times, but usually the real question is not mentioned above, the real question is something similar to this one; “Is a home gym worth it? Can I afford one and will it pay off on the long run?”. And to be quite honest, this is a question only you can answer for yourself. Here’s a list of problems you might be able to solve with a home gym.

You don’t have to wait for your turn. You are the boss in there and no one will take your time or rush you on a set. Go ahead take as much time as you want on that bench or squat rack as you wish.

As I am active duty military, I am one of the few that doesn’t have to drive far to get to a good gym. But there is a few of us out there that have to get in a vehicle and drive to the nearest gym. Not only are you wasting valuable time while driving, but you are also wasting fuel! So now, not only do you have to worry about your gym membership, but also setting money aside for fuel to drive to the gym.

I know we have all been there, waiting for a piece of equipment to go free so that we could jump on it. We wait patiently for that person to get off the equipment, 5 mins seem like 30 because we are on our own time. When they finally get off, they move away from the machine without cleaning their sweaty mess! So now, not only do you have to clean their mess, but you have to waste more time walking to and from the rag dispenser. You don’t have to deal with this at your own place, the only mess you would be cleaning up is your own.

Females think that this is just their problem but it’s not, males also get the eye while at the gym. Not only are people looking at us to judge our form, but also fantasizing about how we would look wearing something different. At home, you don’t have to worry about this, you can be as comfortable as you like and wear whatever you want, no one will judge you.

Last but not least, is skipping the gym. Some of you might be ok with all of the above, but we all know that there is times where the gym just isn’t feasible and we have to skip it for that day. Not if you have your own home gym, you can always skip the gym and not worry about getting a brain aneurysm due to the lack of exercise.

At the end of the day, the question remains the same. Is having a home gym really worth it? Think about this, for every time that you have to skip the gym due to a long day, you will save fuel. These dollars will eventually add up and the home gym will slowly start paying for itself.

Now you don’t have to go out and spend thousands of dollars in order to have a good reliable home gym. You can purchase good quality and affordable bumper plates and barbells at, we have the best price per pound and free shipping to the great state of TX. Not to mention we offer discounts to most people.

So, whether you are a Crossfit fan, Olympic Weightlifter, bodybuilder or just a fitness junkie, stop procrastinating and invest in a good quality and affordable home gym today!

If you have a question that is not posted on here, you can write us via Email, phone or just post it on this blog. I will add more as I am sure the list will grow.

Where are you located? We are located in Killeen TX, and currently don’t have a storefront. You can still pick up locally if you wish to get your weights sooner.

What is the difference on the barbells? Right now we have 3 different types of barbells; 2, 4 and 8 needle bearings. Compared to bushing barbells, needle bearing barbells have a smoother and longer spin on the sleeve, therefore allowing you to get more reps in without hurting your wrists.

The more needle bearings, the smoother the spin. These barbells have a rough knurling that gives you that firm grip needed every rep, this way you don’t have to chalk up as often.

What are your bumper plates made out of? Our bumper plates are imported and made out of recycled crumb rubber. When searching for bumpers, we had 3 things in mind; durability, size and cost.

What source of payments do you accept? Currently, we accept CASH, Paypal, and most major Credit Cards to include AMEX.

Can you further explain your return policy? There is a 30 day money back guarantee on everything on the store. Weights HAVE TO be returned for money back, supplements DO NOT need to be returned to get your money back.

Do you offer any discounts? Of course we do! We created this company with all the hardworking Americans in mind, making money is not a priority, this is why we still work out of our home. If you serve or have served your country with some sort of uniform, you will get the best deals.

We also work with other hardworking Americans, like teachers, construction workers and many more. Just give us a call, text or email for more information.

Why is there only free shipping in TX? At Azteca Nutrition & Fitness, we pride ourselves on being a Texas born company, our goal is to stay a small local business and provide nutritional and fitness mentorship to the local population. Nutritional products are shipped Nationwide for free, but fitness equipment is only provided to the great state of Texas for free.

You can still purchase our fitness equipment, but will have to pay for shipping or arrange for pickup anywhere in TX. Contact us for more information on scheduling or arranging a pick up.

What makes you better than the rest? Well, to be honest that is one thing that really got this company going. We wanted to be different, we were tired of over paying for equipment that was not worth the asking price. We were tired of having to deal with the big companies when it came down to a claim.

Here, not only are we a small local company, but we are veteran owned and operated. We know and will never forget what it’s like to be the hard working American trying to buy a good quality product at an honest price. We don’t make enough money to quit our jobs and focus on this, but we make enough to keep buying reliable quality equipment to sell at an honest price.

Should you ever have a problem with our equipment, you will be talking to the owner of the company, not a paid employee or even worse, a machine. The founder of this company started this to ensure that hardworking Americans, specially our Service Men and Women would have priority when it came down to it.
